I'm not sure if I'm right.

I think the context want to tell you the pronunciation of "这".

"这"  pinyin is zhe 4

 But in E((BZ1)), the pronunciation will be changed to zhèi (zhei4); and  in ((BZ2)), the pronunciation will be changed to zhèr (zhe4 er).
