I just want to add that this is a really uncommon word - I guess most native English speakers wouldn't know it (or at least I didn't, and I consider myself pretty well read). The top 50 Google search results for "gynecian" are all from dictionaries, and the first "real" result is from someone who seems to think it means the same as "gynecologist". So it's probably best not to use this word if you want people to understand what you're trying to say.
